This Privacy Policy explains how Hypzor handles personal data when you visit hypzor.com, subscribe to a newsletter, contact us or interact with our content. Hypzor is the controller responsible for the processing described here.
Information we collect
Information you provide. This can include your email address when you subscribe, and your name, email address and any other information contained in a message you send us.
Information generated when you use the site. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, referrer and security-related logs. If you consent to analytics, Google Analytics may also collect information about visits, sessions, approximate location, device and interactions with the site.
Your preferences. We store your cookie choice and may store your selected site language on your device. More detail is available in our Cookie Policy.
Why we use personal data
We process technical data where necessary to deliver and secure the website and to pursue our legitimate interests in preventing abuse, diagnosing faults and understanding the basic operation of the service.
We use your email address to send a newsletter only when you have requested it. The legal basis is consent, which you can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe option in an email or contacting us.
We use non-essential analytics only after you consent through the cookie banner. You may withdraw or change that choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer.
We process messages you send us to respond to your request, manage editorial or commercial relationships and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. Depending on the context, this is based on our legitimate interests, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract or a legal obligation.
Who receives personal data
We use service providers to host, protect and operate Hypzor. Cloudflare provides website infrastructure and storage. If analytics is accepted, Google provides Google Analytics. Email and other communications may be processed by the providers used for our inboxes and newsletter delivery. These providers process data under their own terms and applicable data-protection obligations.
If you click a link to a retailer, affiliate partner, social platform or other external website, that service may receive technical information about the visit and will process data under its own privacy policy. Hypzor does not receive your payment-card details from retailers.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of the publication. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
How long we keep information
Newsletter subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to any short suppression record needed to respect your choice. Correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, relationship or legal requirement. Security logs and analytics data are retained according to operational need and the settings of the relevant provider. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; receive portable data; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
To exercise a privacy right, email hello@hypzor.com. We may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month.
Children
Hypzor is a general-audience publication and is not directed specifically at children. We do not knowingly request personal data from children under 16.
Security and policy changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will always appear on this page.
